Mercer Island Junk Removal, Discreet and Priced Like Everywhere Else

The garage and storage room cleared before the stagers arrive, the downsize from First Hill to a Town Center condo, the estate that needs patience. From $89, same rates as Kirkland.

Mercer Island is about 20 minutes from our Kirkland base via I-405 and I-90, and a couch off Island Crest Way usually rides along the same afternoon you text. We are owner-operated, we work 8am to 10pm every day, and our 16-ft lift-gate truck is the right size for the Mercer Ways, where the big trucks cannot go. Prices are by truck space, the same numbers we charge in Kirkland, with every bit of carrying included. Text (206) 609-5581 with photos for a range in minutes.

  • Truck-space pricing: single item $89–$139, quarter truck $349–$499, full 16-ft truck $1,299–$1,599
  • Everything goes straight from where it sits into the truck, never into a pile in the driveway
  • Anything personal-looking is set aside and shown to you before it leaves
  • Waterfront driveways on East and West Mercer Way fit our 16-ft truck
  • Same rates as our home town of Kirkland; 4.9 stars from 32 Google reviews

What Mercer Island needs gone

Island junk jobs are usually about a sale or a fresh start. Before a First Hill or North End house lists, the garage, the storage room, and the bonus room get cleared so the stager can work: patio furniture, a rowing machine, the kids' old bedroom sets, the wine fridge that stopped cooling. Downsizing from a family house on the South End into a Town Center condo means a full dining set, two extra sofas, and a garage's worth of tools have to go somewhere. Estate work in Mercerdale and East Seattle calls for slower hands and a careful sort. Waterfront homes along the Mercer Ways have boat gear, dock furniture, and hot tubs that have not been warm since the last owners. The condos around Town Center turn over furniture with every sale. We take all of it, including e-waste and appliances, and we do it without a single item sitting curbside.

Island pricing, no premium line item

There is a version of junk removal marketed to Mercer Island that comes with a 'premium service' charge. Ours does not. One item: $89–$139. A quarter truck runs $349–$499, a half truck $649–$899, three-quarters $999–$1,299, and a full 16-ft truck $1,299–$1,599, the same figures we charge in Kirkland. Hot tubs are $225–$400 to break down and haul, and a TV or a box of electronics is $89 alone or $59 added to a load. A typical pre-listing job on First Hill: a sectional, a rowing machine, two patio sets, a wine fridge, and a garage of tools and paint cans (we take the tools, not the paint) fills about half the truck, so it runs $649–$899 with all the carrying and the Factoria fee included. Larger estates get a flat quote from a walkthrough. New customers get $25 off with FIRSTHAUL.

How an island pickup goes

Text photos to (206) 609-5581 and you have a range within minutes. The island is a quick run from Kirkland, so a single couch or a garage corner usually rides along the same afternoon if you reach us before mid-afternoon; pre-listing clears and estate work book a day or two ahead so we can bring the right crew and take the time it deserves. For Town Center condos we reserve the elevator and pad the corners as we do in Bellevue. On the Mercer Ways we plan the truck position first, and on the rare driveway that will not take a 16-ft truck we carry with dollies at no extra charge. In the truck, usable furniture goes to Goodwill and local charities, metal and appliances to recycling, electronics to e-waste. The true leftovers ride to the Factoria Recycling & Transfer Station, ten minutes across the East Channel Bridge, and you pay by Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, or cash.

Junk Removal Mercer Island Questions

How much does junk removal cost on Mercer Island?
The same as Kirkland: $89–$139 for a single item, $349–$499 for a quarter truck, $649–$899 for a half, and $1,299–$1,599 for a full 16-ft truck, with carrying and the Factoria fee inside the number. No island surcharge, no premium line item. Text photos to (206) 609-5581 and we will send a firm range in minutes.
Can you pick up on Mercer Island today?
Often, yes. The island is about 20 minutes from our Kirkland base via I-405 and I-90, so a couch or a garage corner usually goes the same afternoon if you text before mid-afternoon, and we run until 10pm daily. Pre-listing clears and estate cleanouts book a day or two ahead.
Can your truck get down East or West Mercer Way?
Ours can. The 16-ft lift-gate truck is small enough to snake down to a waterfront home where a 26-footer has to stage up top. We plan the truck position before we arrive, and if a driveway truly will not work, we carry down with dollies and build that into the quote rather than surprising you.
