Moving in Marysville, new plats and old streets
Marysville's new neighborhoods are easy to love on moving day: wide streets in the Getchell and Sunnyside plats, driveways that hold a 16-ft truck with room to spare, and garages built for exactly this. The catch is the association. Most of the newer communities have rules about where a truck sits and for how long, and some of the streets are still under construction, so we confirm the route in and keep the truck in your driveway. Downtown and Shoultes are the older Marysville: 1960s and 70s ramblers on small lots, carports instead of garages, and side streets off State Avenue where parking is first come, first served. Lakewood and Smokey Point add the apartment complexes near the freeway exits, with assigned stalls and three-story walk-ups. Getting here is the main variable. I-5 through Everett crawls from mid-afternoon and the 4th Street exit backs up onto the freeway, so we start Marysville jobs in the morning and drive home against traffic.
Junk removal on the north end
Junk pricing in Marysville uses the same truck-space tiers as everywhere else we work: a single item $89–$139, a quarter truck $349–$499, a half truck $649–$899, three quarters $999–$1,299, a full 16-ft truck $1,299–$1,599. Carrying, loading, and disposal are inside the price. A worked example from Lakewood: a landlord had a tenant leave behind a couch, a recliner, a mattress and box spring, a TV, and a kitchen's worth of bagged trash. Item by item that would have been three or four single-item charges plus a $89 TV. Loaded together it filled a quarter of the truck, so the whole job priced at the quarter-truck tier with the TV folded in as a $59 e-waste add-on. Hot tubs, common in the newer backyards, run $225–$400. Working furniture goes to donation, metal gets recycled, and the rest goes to the county's North County transfer station in Arlington, a short hop up the freeway.
What a Marysville move costs from a Kirkland crew
Our rates don't change by city. A 2-man crew with the truck is $119/hr, a 3-man crew is $159/hr, and labor only for a rental truck or a container is $89/hr. There's no travel fee, so the total we text is the whole price and it doesn't move when we pull up. Typical Marysville numbers: a 1-bedroom apartment in Smokey Point or Lakewood lands between $360 and $480, a 2-bedroom between $480 and $720, and a new Getchell four-bedroom is a 3-man day we'll quote from photos. Thirty-three miles is a real drive, but you pay nothing for it: no travel fee, the clock only runs on the work, and $119/hr is below what most two-mover crews charge anywhere in Snohomish County, before they add their own trip fees. We also keep the schedule open until 10pm, seven days, which suits Boeing shift changes and Navy families with orders that arrive on short notice.
