Federal Way Movers & Junk Haulers, 40 Minutes Down I-5
Twin Lakes ramblers, Redondo condos, the apartment complexes along Pacific Highway South: one crew loads what's going with you, hauls what isn't, and charges Federal Way the same rate Kirkland pays.
Federal Way is about 40 minutes from our Kirkland base, down I-405 and I-5, and we make the run every week. The city is mostly 1960s and 70s ramblers on big lots, plus a lot of apartment complexes between Pacific Highway South and the freeway, and both kinds of moves get the same 2-man crew at $119/hr. Junk rides the same truck, so a move and a garage cleanout can be one booking instead of two.

Moving in Federal Way, from Twin Lakes to the Pacific Highway complexes
Federal Way splits into two kinds of moving day. West of I-5 it's the Twin Lakes, Mirror Lake, and Marine Hills ramblers and split-levels: wide streets, long driveways, and a garage that has quietly become a storage unit. Twin Lakes has an association, so we keep the truck in the driveway instead of the street and finish before the neighbors start counting hours. Dash Point and Redondo mean bluff lots and driveways that drop toward the water; we walk them before we back the 16-ft truck down. Then there's the apartment side: the big complexes off Pacific Highway South, S 320th, and around West Campus, where the rules are gate codes, assigned stalls, and third-floor walk-ups with no elevator. We get the code and the stall number when you book, park as close to the breezeway as the lot allows, and carry from there. Traffic on S 320th around the mall is the one thing we schedule around.
Junk removal in Federal Way, with the numbers up front
Junk removal in Federal Way is priced by truck space, and the ranges are fixed before we show up: a single item is $89–$139, a quarter truck $349–$499, a half truck $649–$899, three quarters $999–$1,299, and a full 16-ft truck $1,299–$1,599, with the carrying and the disposal inside every number. A real example from Steel Lake: a garage with an old sectional, two mattresses, a broken treadmill, a patio set, and about fifteen boxes of who-knows-what. Priced one piece at a time that would be five or six single-item charges. Loaded together it filled roughly half the truck, so the whole job priced at the half-truck tier, and the customer paid less than the sum of the parts. Hot tubs run $225–$400, TVs and e-waste are $89 on their own or $59 added to a load, and usable furniture goes to donation before anything reaches the Algona transfer station. Text photos to (206) 609-5581 and you'll have a range before we leave Kirkland.
What a Federal Way move costs, in plain numbers
A 2-man crew with the truck is $119/hr. A 3-man crew for a bigger house is $159/hr. There's no travel fee, so the total we text you is the number you pay. Typical results in Federal Way: a 1-bedroom lands between $360 and $480, a 2-bedroom between $480 and $720. The math is simple: a 1-bedroom that takes three hours is $357, and that is the whole price. Why book a Kirkland crew for a city 33 miles away? Because the drive costs you nothing: no travel fee, and the clock only runs on the work. The hourly rate is well under what most two-mover crews around Seattle charge before they add their own trip fees. If we're already in the south end for another job, we can often fit you in the same day. Evenings until 10pm and weekends cost the same as a Tuesday morning.
