Mill Creek is about 20 minutes from our Kirkland base, up I-405 and the Bothell-Everett Highway, which puts it well inside the ring where same-day work is realistic. The city was planned around the country club in the 1970s and it still moves like a planned community: association rules, tree-lined streets, and two-story houses with real garages. We move those, the newer apartments at Town Center, and the townhomes along North Creek, at $119/hr for a 2-man crew.

Moving in Mill Creek, inside the covenants
Mill Creek was one of the first master-planned communities in the state, and the original neighborhoods around the golf course, Heatherwood, Cypress, and the streets off Mill Creek Road, still run on covenants. That means no truck parked on the street overnight, quiet hours, and neighbors who notice. We fit inside all of it: the 16-ft truck goes in the driveway, we finish in one visit, and we're gone before anyone writes a letter. Town Center is the other Mill Creek: apartments stacked over the restaurants along Main Street with a shared garage, a clearance bar our truck doesn't fit under, and an elevator the building wants reserved. We park in the loading area on the street side and carry through. North Creek and Thomas Lake add townhomes with tandem garages and three interior flights, and Silver Lake brings older ramblers along the shore with narrow driveways. The Bothell-Everett Highway crawls at 5pm, so we work around it.
Junk removal, from a single couch to a full truck
We price junk by how much of the 16-ft truck it takes: $89–$139 for a single item, $349–$499 for a quarter truck, $649–$899 for a half, $999–$1,299 for three quarters, and $1,299–$1,599 for the whole thing, carrying and disposal included. The most common Mill Creek job is the downsizing haul. A couple in one of the original Heatherwood two-stories, moving to a condo, had a dining set, a hutch, a queen bed, an old desktop computer, and thirty years of garage shelving. The furniture and shelving filled a quarter of the truck, so that was the quarter-truck tier, and the computer went as e-waste at $59 added to the load instead of $89 on its own. Hot tubs, which Mill Creek has plenty of, are $225–$400. The dining set went to donation, the shelving to metal recycling, and the little that was left rode to the Airport Road transfer station in Everett, ten minutes away.

$119/hr gets you two movers and the truck. $159/hr gets you three, which is the right call for a full country club house with a garage to match. Labor only, when you've got the U-Haul, is $89/hr. There's no travel fee, so every total we send is the whole price. Typical Mill Creek jobs: a 1-bedroom at Town Center or a North Creek townhome lands between $360 and $480, a 2-bedroom between $480 and $720. A 12-mile drive is short enough that we think of Mill Creek as local, and it prices that way: the trip up the highway costs you nothing, the clock runs on the actual work at your place, and the rate is lower than most two-mover crews charge in Snohomish County. Same-day junk pickups are realistic here most days, and a move on a weeknight evening costs exactly what a Saturday morning does.
